Essex United Tournament and Shootout

At the end of matches in a group, playoff teams should be on GotSport within ~20 minutes. Times and fields for playoffs are already posted. And remember we have awards for Shootout winners in addition to the main tournament.
When your team has a break, swing by and take a team picture with our event banner located right behind the Red Barn near field 6. Winning teams will have a picture taken with their metals.

Be there – June 20-21, 2026, at the Tree Farm Recreational Facility, Essex Vermont.
This year will be our BIGGEST year yet with 104 teams and 2 levels of play for our U10-14 teams. We are so very excited to welcome you to our tournament. Please read through the follow information so you are well prepared for this event.
Parking: This is a big tournament and parking can be difficult, but we ask everyone to be patient with our staff and follow all parking instructions. There is NO parking along the driveway or round-about or anywhere there is a sign. Violators may be towed.
- Shootouts (U10+ teams): After each game, find a shootout goal location (marked by flags and shown on the map) & hold a penalty kick shootout with your opposing team. Rules are on the shootout scorecards you will get from HQ. Be sure to return the scores to HQ (Field 6) after each shootout. Note there are awards for shootout winners from each age group.
- Awards: We have awards for BOTH first and second place teams in each division for U10+. U8 Coaches (Sunday only): Stop by HQ (Field 6) to pick up medals for players. Head to the HQ tent after the final match to collect your awards and take pictures.
- NO BAD BEHAVIOR! Zero Tolerance Policy: We’ve been around youth soccer for a long time and we recognize that sideline behaviors can sometimes get way out of line. This is not okay, and unfortunately despite a lot of discussion about it, we still have these situations happening too often. Please remember that: These are kids, this is a game, and our number one goal is for everyone to have fun. Let’s let the players play, referees officiate, coaches coach, and spectators cheer and support their teams. Sideline behaviors observed outside of these guidelines will be addressed and those involved may be asked to leave.
Prohibited Activities
- Unsafe, careless, or negligent behavior.
- The possession, sale or use of alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs or substances. Use of tobacco products, vaping, and cannabis.
- The use of glass containers of any kind.
- The posting of any signs or advertisements unless granted permission by the TFMG.
- Taking up collections or making solicitations of any kind unless granted permission by the TFMG.
- Use of Facility for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.
- Any activity that may be reasonably expected to cause injury or harm to anyone; or will deface or cause damage to the Tree Farm or property of others.
- Parking on any public way, including Old Colchester Road & Autumn Pond Way.

WEATHER
Thunder/Lightning
All play/activities will stop for at least 30 minutes. There are NO safe structures at the Tree Farm Facility. Retreat to cars in the event you hear the air horn blasts warning of lightning. Review full policy on our website.
In the event of inclement weather, Tournament Committee Officials shall have the authority to change the format and schedule in any way as follows:
* Relocate/reschedule or change the duration of any games.
* Cancel any game having no bearing on tournament playoffs
* Any game in progress terminated due to weather shall be considered official after 20 minutes have been played for U12+ teams or after 15 minutes for U10 teams. No refund will take place due to tournament changes caused by weather.
If variable weather is forecasted, we will send additional information closer to the weekend (by Friday morning).
